Field Medic is one of the hardest perks to play because of this, you constantly need your head on a swivel looking out for dying allies and making sure your own life isn't in danger while picking off any low level threats. You'll become too focused on "tagging" zeds that you'll miss the opportunities to save an allie's life. While this is correct, it's not the best way of playing Medic. Originally posted by Sarabi:The problem with medic is that actually doing your job of healing gives you minimal Experience, if you want to level quickly, play a combat medic, heal when you can of course, but focus on killing trash zeds, and 'tagging' larger zeds with a single bullet, that way you get the EXP even when a teammate kills it. Overall medic lvling is actually pretty slow, but you make up for in winning games, extra dosh made from healing and not spending on ammo, and your teammates will almost never kick you since you're too valuable a perk to discard ![]() Makes it so you can lvl up other perks if you want, while still getting xp for medic. ![]() You get the kills for your perk and extra xp for medic by healing on the sidelines. You get like 4xp for healing per dart, and varies but say 8-16xp for killing zeds.īest way to lvl up medic is to "tag" zeds by shooting 1 single 9mm or medic pistol (lowest caliber weapon you can use i think that doesn't offer much damage), or crossperk healing.īy that i mean going support, gunslinger, swat, or commando and buying a medic weapon that crossperks. Even then you're basically a glorified swat. From experience, 60% of the time they won't kick a medic from a higher difficulty because medics don't really offer much dps, even with the entire R perk skills. If you really wanna lvl up faster, join 1 difficulty above and have at it. What you miss on damage, you save on dosh, time spent healing by yourselves (for your other teammates), and to an extent ammo since if your team is good enough, you can last the entire round without ever firing a single bullet. Medic actually gets a big boost in xp, if you have 1 zerker on the team, because you can constantly heal them for xp, dosh, and they get health and buffs.
